The World Weeps – A Triolet

I missed Open Link Night at dVerse Poets Pub last week, so this week I wrote a poem on Sunday evening so I’d be ready.

The World Weeps

The world weeps for itself alone
Jesus wept with compassion, love
Knowing how lost we would become
The world weeps for itself alone

If we saw with our Savior’s eyes
What a difference we could make
The world weeps for itself alone
Jesus wept with compassion, love

  4. Nice, Linda! I’ve written only one triolet before and found it hard to avoid sounding repetitive and sing-songy. You did very well with this form!
